Works well and fits with my 1940s feel of home (yep, purposeful design). I know having a landline means that it disappears when the Internet does, but if someone needs to reach me and I've forgotten to charge my mobile phone, they still can. So, it's still worth it for me to have a landline. Plus, I don't have to remember to take the phone up to the bedroom with me. I can have a phone next to the bed for an emergency in the night. I guess for people whose phones are attached to their bodies that these are not issues, I prefer to use an iPad and my mobile phone is just for phone calls or searching the net when I'm away from home.

Very retro. Love the idea of buying an old fashioned phone. Unlike the original dial, it is push button which connects you quicker to emergency numbers and call those you need to. Bare in mind this depends on the network your on and how much it would cost you!! So look around for the best contracts you are on

Very light, very cheap feel to it. Looks nice, from a distance, but as soon as you touch it you realise it's just cheap plastic, very poor value for money. Zero weight to it so when you lift the reciever, the base unit moves... But even worse is the line quality is awful, it crackles so it doesn't even function well as a phone. Do yourself a favour, ignore anyone shilling this on Youtube and get something else.

This retro-look phone adds class to our sitting room. The only downside is the ringer is not a typical bell but an electronic-sounding ring, but once you get used to that it's great. The handset has good weight to it and it overall feels sturdy. The sound quality is excellent.

Das Ding ist wirklich fetzig. Richtig Schnieke. Habe das an Router - Telefonie 2 und auf meinem Schreibtisch gleich neben dem Laptop zu stehen. Keine Wählscheibe, das wollte ich auch nicht. Funktioniert Einwandfrei. Mein letzter Besuch sagte: Das ist nicht dein ernst oder? Ich: Doch. Das Moderne ist ja auch noch da. Für alle Nostalgiker ein muß. Vor allem weiß unsere Jugend gar nicht mehr was so ein Apparat ist. Ich finde das richtig Klasse. Auf Low - Klinkellautstärke mit meinem Modernen Schnurlos genau abgestimmt. Das Fetzt. Nur das mich sehr selten überhaupt jemand anruft. Ein echter Hinkucker.👍

I have loved phones since I was a kid growing up in the 80's. I STILL love phones (except for the hamburger/pair of lips type). I spent hours looking for a phone similar to the AE40 (pictured on the left) that I purchased at an antique store years ago (unfortunately it no longer works). Of course, I found tons of other types phones that I loved, but the reviews weren't good and the prices were too high. I decided to search the internet for decent brands of "retro phones" and I found Sangyn listed. I saw this phone and thought it was adorable, so in my cart it went. When I got it, I was super impressed by its looks. It's a very nice looking phone! The cord looks legitimate and is a thoughtful touch. The dial label is not only cute, but functional (it's the redial button). It wasn't "dinky" like I thought it might be, but it IS very lightweight (which I knew from the specs). It almost felt like a toy and I wondered if the sound quality would suffer, but nope. It works perfectly fine and I would totally recommend buying one of these if you are shopping around. The only "issue" I had with it was the fact that it doesn't have a slot for you to pick up the base like the older ones did (you can see what I mean in the second picture), but since it's so lightweight, I guess it really isn't much of an issue (hence the quotation marks).
