Alcatel e-Pure Premium DECT Cordless Phone: received for free through the Vine programme. The phone arrived will packaged in a decent box if you're considering this is a gift. As per the instructions I charge the phone for a minimum 15 hours prior to set up or use. I like the phone's design even if it doesn't have a particularly premium feel to it, there are plenty of good features such as the multilingual menu and even answer phone greetings. The setup of the phone is pretty easy even if accessing particular parts of the menu require going through sub menus. The phone comes complete with power cable and transformer along with the cable to actually connect your phone to the telephone line, however this does not have a standard BT style plug on it and as I didn't have a spare cable available my only option was to plug it directly into my router/hub. The phone is easy to use and the call quality and volume is okay but still no way as good as my 20 year old Panasonic cordless phone. I really can't believe that in 2025 the phone does not have a backlit keypad, this really isn't an issue during a day, but if you grab the phone and answer a call without turning on the lights at night one struggles to find the buttons to receive or make a call. The call quality for me was okay but not exceptional and I would regularly get a click and break in the calls for an unknown reason, something I don't experience on my old phones. Leaving the handset off the Cradle for an hour or so, often leads to a bleeping sound for it to be replaced back on the Cradle. I've also experienced messages on the screen saying that the handset is out of range of the base unit, when the handset is only 12 to 15 feet away. I like the loud clear ringer along with the phone's design and features such as missed call alerts that actually tell you date and time of the call, however that is about it, I will not be using it as a primary phone as the call quality it's just not as good as my old Panasonic, to be perfectly honest it will now sit in the cupboard just in case my old phone was to break down
