Panasonic KX-TGC224EB Cordless Phone Set with Answering Machine, 1.6" Display, 4 Handsets - Black

Sept. 2021 (see later review further below! ). Four handsets and an Answering Machine, all for £60 - delivered Free! What's not to like? I previously owned a 3-unit Panasonic set which I purchased about 15-20 years ago, and it never disappointed - until now, when the display window on one of the handsets faded and became impossible to read. Fast-forward to today and here we have an improved set in terms of functionality - a nice design and easy to use. The only (minor) issues I have with this set are a) the main Base Unit is very, very light and needs a couple of small patches of Velcro to keep it in place, and b) the Ring Volume could be improved by increasing it further by about 20%. But these details are not going to spoil my purchase, and I am extremely pleased overall. Quite a bargain, considering that similar alternative-brand packages are offered in excess of £100. Dec. 2021 This update is, unfortunately, going to highlight only negatives and, based on that, this set of four is not the bargain it was originally perceived/stated to be... Firstly, their shape is awkward, making them clumsy and awkward to handle for some users. Then, the keypads have already started to show signs of wear which, considering something like 90% of our calls (low users at that) are made via mobiles or Internet, suggests a major flaw. After the Contacts were keyed into the system, one of the handsets proved faulty, such that if I wanted to contact say Alison (key ABC), I got Dawn, Elizabeth, and Francis (key DEF), and so on down the alphabet! This only came to light after the Returns Period had elapsed. Critically thought, and most significant, is the poor/low level of volume (on all handsets) when set at maximum. You would, if so inclined, stand more chance of hearing a gnat fart at times. And if the gnat was to fart in the wrong place, there is every chance it could blow the base units a few inches down the shelf/desktop if they are not Velcroed to the surface. So, think carefully. Low price is not necessarily the bargain you might think it is, but it's probably better than queueing outside a phone box on a wet and windy night! (If you can still do that....?!!).

Good set of phones that you can use with a landline. Sadly as landlines are being switched off by telecoms companies, there is less use for them. So mine are no longer in service. Until that change they were useful Having a handset close by meant that I was far less likely to miss a call. The sound quality was very good and clear and there is a variety of ring tones to select from.

Very good set of phones very good build quality very clear sound just volume is a little low on hand set but if you put it on loudspeaker it’s perfect looks really smart and very lightweight for the price you can’t go wrong

First of all these phones work. Out of the box they looked ok, set up was easy and unlike some, they included rechargeable batteries. I bought these to replace my BT Digital Voice phones when I switched broadband providers. In comparison with the BT phones these Panasonic units feel cheap, sound tinny and don't charge unless you carefully slot them into the charging cradle. As a short term measure they are acceptable, but I'm now going to take time to find something better quality and sell these on eBay.

Had hell of a job connecting to my new installed fibre optic system. These phones being analogue seemed incompatible and had to get Sky to look into it. They eventually after a couple of days found the fault was at their end and not me connecting the wrong cables. Having said all this the phones are very good with nice clear reception and I think a good buy for the price.

This is a set of four handsets purchased to replace our previous one's. They are an updated version of our last ones with extra features such as the eco facility & call blocking numbers. We now have to connect our landline via modem, from opening the box I had the phones connected up & running in about 10 minutes. I have no negatives and I am very pleased with my purchase. One thing I will point out is before I made my order I checked the reviews & the main negative in them was the ringtone was not loud enough, thats totaly not the case. After I set them up I tested them by phoning & I was surprised how load the ring was, infact my wife commented how load the ring is. I would certainly recommend these phones.

Buen teléfono, fácil de instalar y usar, pero en ningún sitio dice que la toma de corriente es la inglesa, no la española, hay que comprar a mayores un os adaptadores porque no hay muchos modelos disponibles de inalámbricos de 4 terminales !!

I telefoni in sè non sono male, la tastiera non si illumina. Per il mercato italiano dovete comprarvi altri trenta euro di adattatori, mettetelo in conto, non sono compresi e non ve li fornisce il fornitore, anche il cavo di collegamento linea base telefono non va bene dovete usarne un altro.
