Firstly, beware, the first two I ordered (from Amazon directly, rather than “fulfilled” by Amazon) did not come with a UK power adapter. So they were returned. I finally got one from another seller, fulfilled by amazon, which did have a UK power adapter. The phone itself is great. Basic, but does everything you’ll need from a small business perspective. It’s handy having capacity for two accounts, I have an all-singing, all-dancing business account with Soho66 which works brilliantly and is restricted to incoming calls only during business hours. I also have a free Sipgate account on the other line as a back up 24hr ‘direct dial’ number. The phone is very easy to set-up through your browser. The call quality is excellent and the handset itself is very comfortable to use for long periods. It comes with various options for mounting on the wall and tilting a different angles on a desktop. It’s thankfully quite compact, so doesnt take up much space. Some users have had trouble accessing VoIP services with Virgin Media broadband hubs. I haven’t had any issueswith my Hub 3, but its worth checking with your VoIP provider first. This isn’t specific to this phone, just VoIP services in general with Virgin Media hubs. One minor gripe is the limited choice, and quality, of ringtones. They’re all a bit harsh, even at low volume. But don’t let that put you off.

I bought this to replace a previous device which was very bad at reconnecting in the event of internet "blips" (VoIP on an ADSL line is a bit adventurous, I know). It does much better, and has all sorts of configuration options for how often it should retry. Good sound quality, solid construction and a sensible web interface. It even does IPv6 if your network has it available.

Overall: a good quality VoIP phone for the budget market, with supplied power. This model would probably not suit someone who had no knowledge of VoIP, networking or SIP account configuration as the supplied manual is basis to say the least. The majority of configuration is performed via a web interface once the device has gained either a local DHCP or static IP address. The web interface will then allow you to configure your SIP account details from your VoIP provider. All other settings can then be modified as required, including ringtones, advanced network settings, SIP settings, call volumes etc. I have been using this device for a good few weeks at this point and have not found any down sides to operation. Whilst I am utilising a high bandwidth connection I have not experienced any call quality issues, and most common encoding methods are supported.

As product was delivered on dustbin day I put packaging in the bin as I thought it was just straightforward plug it in and it would work. Big mistake. The instructions are very limited unless you go online and then were way over my head. I had purchased it to be main house phone after switching to fibre. Have to also say my phone company provider has been useless as well without being able to give advice on type of phone needed and also connections for internet phone. Total waste of money and after over a month still havent got a house phone .

Can't fault this for the price. Was easy to setup via the Web interface and sound quality is fine. Its sturdy enough and doesn't feel cheap. The only gripe I have is the stand but easy to solve with a 3D printer. - The issue being it cannot wall mount without the handset falling off, and in it's other position the phone sits at near 90 degrees

This is the first dedicated VoIP phone I’ve installed, I’ve been a SipGate user for many years and have either used a LinkSys ATA or a softphone, but as I have finally ditched the landline, I need something more user friendly. Step forward Grandstream. Cost £32 and change, and I was surprised as the quality of the handset. Feels sturdy with clear display and positive action buttons. Took 10 mins to set up and test, and works a treat. Time will tell, but first impressions are very good.

The phone surpassed expectations, the quality of the call is excellent and it’s easy to use. The tech support are quick to respond and very helpful. This phone like it’s other models are used all over the world and in many large companies, it’s well built and supported. Once you have the phone the next important step is selecting a good voip provider, the best I have found is voipfone which I use as the main provider and sipgate as a backup.

One of the easiest Web interfaces to set up, but the extra cable on the desk is very irritating because of lack of POE

I've been using CISCO IP phones for more than 15 years in my office and got absolutely no problem with them. But Grandstream at this pricing was a much cheaper option. I found the Grandstream phone to be much sleek and as efficient. It was much much more easier to configure as compared to Cisco. We have decided to slowly replace all our phones with this brand. Even the seller was very supportive.

This is a "Basic" IP phone, per the vendor, and that's reflected in the price point. If you expect the device to be on-par with a high-end Cisco or Avaya phone you may be disappointed. However if you want a quality, economical phone with a good feature set then this is a good choice. I found it to be easy to configure, I had it set up in my Asterisk server in under 10 minutes. I was also pleased to see it natively supports OpenVPN, I was able to set up a off-site phone to connect in over VPN without needing to deploy a remove VPN client. It also has support for a LDAP phone book and central configuration, but I haven't had time to set that up. The biggest things I don't like are the screen is a bit basic, I've noticed sometimes incoming caller ID is truncated. Better than it looking like a flip-phone UI circa 2001 though. An administrative concern is that it is hard to manually update the firmware on this. The firmware is openly available from Grandstream, which is nice, but there's no option to just upload the new bin file to it. It needs to be set up to a provisioning server, which is just a HTTP server, and the error feedback is pretty much non-existent. Plan to run a syslog and provisioning HTTP server for these alongside your PBX. Overall I am pleased with it. Audio quality is good. I have a Grandstream Budgetone I bought circa 2007 that's still kicking and it feels like the build quality had improved since then, so I'm optimistic this will last.
